Three types of grants are available to members of MNAHPERD and schools in Minnesota that demonstrate a professional need for financial assistance in securing equipment or completing projects related to the disciplines of health, physical education, recreation, or dance. As with the scholarships, MNAHPERD believes that these financial awards can provide MNAHPERD professionals and respective schools with another avenue of support for its members in their quest for professional excellence.

The Jump Rope for Heart grants are made available annually to public or private K-12 schools or professionals that demonstrate a professional need for financial assistance in securing equipment or completing projects related to the disciplines of health, physical education, recreation, and dance. Like the Jump Rope for Heart grants, the Hoops for Heart grants are made available annually to public or private K-12 schools or professionals demonstrating a need for outside school funding for specific projects that will enhance the overall respective school health, physical education, recreation, or dance programs. The Professional Development Projects grant was established in 2001 with the purpose of making available funds for respective MNAHPERD divisions, committees, or ad hoc committees to address specific needs of MNAHPERD. [MORE]
