MNAHPERD WELCOME!
MNAHPERD'S Web site was created to inform health, physical education, recreation, and dance professionals in Minnesota about their professional organization's activities and the opportunities available for participation.
MNAHPERD'S MISSION:
A school-based professional association, that provides professional services and resources for teachers, organizations and individuals to provide quality programs. MNAHPERD is dedicated to improving the skills, knowledge, health and well-being of all Minnesota students.
MNAHPERD'S GOALS
-
Helps shape policy defining and supporting comprehensive school health and physical education programs.

Links state health, physical education, recreation and dance leaders with their counterparts.

Works to forge school/family, community linkages in support of school health, physical education, recreation and dance.

Fosters professional growth and the development of leadership and advocacy skills.

Helps resolve complex issues in education and health reform.

Provides leadership in an effort to link colleges and universities to school districts for innovation and improvement in curriculum instruction and assessment.

Provides a supportive network of professional and social relationships for teachers and school personnel concerned about the health and well-being of Minnesota students.

Honors and recognizes individuals, schools, and organizations that have demonstrated outstanding contributions to improving programs to all student achievements.

Works with national, state, and local organizations on school health issues and promotion and the improvement of the profession.
